Housing & Business Management Guide

Build your dream apartment and run a profitable business in Hethereau. Complete guide to NTE's lifestyle systems.

Hethereau Lifestyle Systems

One of NTE’s most unique features is its deep lifestyle simulation layer. Beyond combat, you can own and customize an apartment, run businesses like antique shops or cafés, and build a personal empire in Hethereau. These systems aren’t just cosmetic — they generate real in-game resources.

Apartment Customization

Getting Your First Apartment

Your apartment is unlocked early in the main story. The starter unit is modest, but you can upgrade to larger spaces as you progress.

Apartment tiers:

  • Studio — starter, unlocked via story
  • 1-Bedroom — first upgrade, more furniture slots
  • Penthouse — endgame, maximum customization options

Furniture & Decoration

Furniture is crafted using materials gathered from exploration or purchased from city vendors. Each piece provides:

  • Comfort Score — higher comfort = better passive bonuses
  • Aesthetic Points — unlock special visitor interactions
  • Storage Capacity — more space for business inventory

Comfort Bonuses

Maintaining a high Comfort Score in your apartment provides daily passive bonuses:

Comfort LevelBonus
0-30No bonus
31-60+5% daily stamina recovery
61-80+10% business income
81-100+15% stamina recovery + +10% business income

Priority furniture to craft first:

  1. Bed (major Comfort contribution)
  2. Bookshelf (unlocks research passive)
  3. Kitchen appliances (enables cooking buffs)
  4. Lighting fixtures (Comfort + aesthetic)

Business Management

Available Business Types

Antique Shop

  • Sell anomaly-related artifacts and collectibles
  • Higher profit margins but requires active restocking
  • Best for players who log in frequently

Café

  • Serve food and drinks to NPC customers
  • More passive income, less management required
  • Best for casual players

Vehicle Workshop

  • Repair and customize vehicles for NPCs
  • Requires vehicle knowledge unlocked through story
  • Highest income ceiling but most complex

Business Progression

Every business starts at Rank 1 and can be upgraded to Rank 5. Each rank increases:

  • Customer capacity
  • Income per hour
  • Inventory slots
  • Unlock special NPC customers with unique rewards

Upgrading costs:

  • Business materials (gathered from city exploration)
  • Currency (earned from daily activities)
  • Time (upgrades take real time, similar to base-building games)

Daily Business Routine

  1. Collect income — always do this first, income caps when storage is full
  2. Restock inventory — check what’s selling and replenish
  3. Serve special customers — some NPCs appear randomly and offer bonus rewards
  4. Check upgrade progress — queue the next upgrade if materials are ready

Maximizing Business Income

Tip 1: Match inventory to demand Each district in Hethereau has different customer preferences. Antique shops near the old town district sell historical artifacts faster. Cafés near business districts sell premium drinks at higher prices.

Tip 2: Hire staff As your business ranks up, you can hire NPC staff. Staff automate restocking and customer service, freeing you from daily micromanagement.

Tip 3: Business synergies Running multiple businesses creates synergies — your café can source ingredients from your antique shop’s supply chain, reducing costs.

Vehicle Customization

Vehicles in NTE aren’t just transport — they’re a status symbol and a gameplay system.

Vehicle Types

  • Muscle Cars — high speed, lower handling
  • Supercars — balanced performance
  • Sport Bikes — best maneuverability, lower top speed
  • Off-road — for exploration outside city limits

Customization Options

  • Performance upgrades — engine, suspension, tires
  • Visual mods — paint, body kits, decals, lighting
  • Special abilities — some vehicles have unique Esper-infused modifications

Vehicle Racing

Weekly racing events offer exclusive cosmetic rewards and vehicle upgrade materials. Even if you don’t care about racing, the material rewards are worth participating.

Housing Tips for New Players

Don’t Neglect Housing Early

Many players ignore housing until late game. This is a mistake — the passive income and stamina bonuses from a well-maintained apartment compound over time.

Prioritize Business Rank 2 First

The jump from Rank 1 to Rank 2 doubles your income. Get there as fast as possible before worrying about apartment aesthetics.

Craft Furniture in Batches

Furniture crafting uses the same materials as some combat upgrades. Plan your crafting sessions to avoid resource conflicts.

Visit Other Players’ Spaces

NTE allows you to visit other players’ apartments and businesses. This isn’t just social — you can find rare NPC customers in other players’ shops and earn bonus rewards.

Long-Term Housing Goals

Once you’ve established your core combat team, shift some resources toward:

  1. Penthouse upgrade — the endgame apartment has unique furniture slots
  2. Business Rank 5 — maximum passive income
  3. Full vehicle collection — some vehicles are limited-time and won’t return
  4. Interior design achievements — unlock exclusive cosmetics and titles

The lifestyle systems in NTE are designed for the long haul. Don’t rush them — enjoy building your corner of Hethereau at your own pace.
